WASHINGTON AREA RESIDENT TO THROW OUT THE FIRST PITCH AT THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS GAME AUGUST 25TH
ST. LOUIS, MO., – U.S. Cellular announced that Elaine Waiksnis of Washington, Mo., is the winner of its St. Louis Cardinals Prize Package which includes the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Cardinals game. Waiksnis, who was one of 648 Washington Town and County fairgoers that registered for a chance to win this prize package, has delegated the first pitch duties to her son-in-law, Mike Luking of Washington, Mo. to officially commence the game on Tuesday, August 25th, when the Cardinals take on the Houston Astros at 7:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium.
"I was so shocked when I got the call that I had won the prize package," commented Elaine Waiksnis. "My son-in-law Mike is a huge Cardinals fan, and I knew that letting him throw out the first pitch at a Cardinals game, something he may never do again in his life, would be like a dream come true for him. My family and I are so excited for this opportunity and we give many thanks to U.S. Cellular for this opportunity."
Waiksnis also received four box seats to the game that evening and a $200 gift card for J. Bucks in downtown St. Louis, all courtesy of U.S. Cellular.
