Microsoft introduces a procedure in Russia a free replacement of Windows Vista to Windows XP
Microsoft implements previously announced process of free exchange of the operating system Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows XP. Replacement of the procedure to be only the Russian version of a Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Home Basic, purchased with the computer in the preinstalled on a PC (OEM-license) after January 1, 2009, inclusive. The mechanism of exchange will operate only for end users and will be limited to 25 copies of each legal or natural person.
For the rules of the replacement home versions of Windows Vista to Windows XP Home Edition, you can at the company's website Microsoft www.vista-to-xp.ru. Procedure itself, the exchange takes effect Oct. 1 and will run until 31 December 2009 and will be implemented only on the territory of Russia.
The procedure consists of three phases:
1.Polzovatelyu to leave the provisional application online at the website of Microsoft www.vista-to-xp.ru. It will be pre-screened for compliance with the terms of the procedure. (Check provides ZAO Ekoinvent, Microsoft contractor for this project).
2.Po receive confirmation of receipt of application users print, fill and sign a "Statement of replacing the operating system, attaches to it unstuck from the pre-PC Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and a copy of the documents on the acquisition PC. All documents should be sent ZAO Ekoinvent.
3.Pri statements under the terms of the procedure the user receives a free kit that contains the installation CD and Certificate of Authenticity for Windows XP Home Edition. The set is delivered by courier service. Within 14 days after delivery of the user to set the key shared between the previously installed version of the OS will be sent to the lock.
Earlier right of return to the previous version of the operating system owned by a legal and natural persons - users Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Ultimate.
