Storwize CFO Mary Henry to Address More Than 500 CFOs and Financial Executives at 2009 MIT Sloan CFO Summit
Henry to discuss evolving M&A landscape at the nation's premier summit for financial leaders.
LOS GATOS, Calif. - Storwize Inc., the leading provider of capacity optimization without compromise, announced that CFO Mary Henry will join more than 500 CFOs and distinguished financial executives from around the world and leading MIT Sloan faculty as a featured panelist at the 2009 MIT Sloan CFO Summit. The Summit will take place Thursday, November 19, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm at the Boston Marriott Newton in Newton, Mass.
This year's theme, "Thriving in a New World Order" will drive discussions on the future of finance, accounting, and strategic business initiatives. The Summit also offers attendees the unique opportunity to hear MIT Sloan academicians and successful business leaders explore these critical issues together.
Henry will participate on a panel titled "M&A is Now Different; Just Accept it" at 11 a.m. She is one of more than 30 presenters from a wide range of industries.
"Finance, legal, administrative and technology functions and operations are evolving, and the biggest catalyst for this change is the need to do more with less," said Henry. "This year's event is an opportunity for finance officers to understand the change and their role in guiding their enterprise during these times."
Henry joined Storwize from Oracle Corporation, where she was VP of finance responsible for the integration of Virtual Iron Software into Oracle after the acquisition in June 2009 and a member of the finance integration team for other Oracle acquisitions. She was co-founder and VP of finance for Ucentric Systems, a venture-backed company acquired by Motorola, and her background also includes corporate reporting, SEC reporting, planning and accounting management while in various roles for 3com, U.S. Robotics and Caremark Corporation.
The Summit's opening keynote session, "Strengthening your Competitive Position in an Economic Downturn," will be moderated by FOX Business Network's Dagen McDowell and the featured luncheon keynote speaker is the U.S. Department of Energy CFO, Steve Isakowitz, who will discuss "Financing a New Generation of Clean Energy Technologies."
