Taiwan market: CHT cuts 3G mobile Internet-access fee

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has announced a 20% reduction in fixed monthly rate for its 3G-based unlimited mobile Internet-access service from NT$850 (US$26.3) to NT$680.

CHT has about 350,000 subscribers of mobile Internet-access service based on handsets, 3G or 3.5G data cards and smartphones currently, and expects the number to increase to 370,000 at the end of 2009, according to the company.
