Top China-based telecom executives to visit Taiwan in March, says paper
A group of high-profile executives from three China-based telecom companies, China Mobile, ZTE and Datang Telecom Technology, will visit Taiwan at the end of March 2010 with plans to purchase 3G and 4G equipment, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
The group, led by Sha Yuejia, executive director and vice president of China Mobile, may purchase up to NT$100 billion (US$3.12 billion) worth of telecom equipment and CPE products supporting TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE standards from Taiwan makers, the paper estimated.
