Beeline expands 3G network in the Far East and Eastern Siberia

Operator Beeline reported the results of the mobile network of the "third generation" in the Far East in the first quarter of 2011:

For the first 3 months of the year coverage 3G «Beeline in the eastern regions of the country expanded by 20%. In particular, significantly increased coverage in the Primorsky Territory outside of Vladivostok, Nakhodka, and Ussuriysk. Already this month in commercial operation are introduced 3G base stations in Arsenyev, Artem, Spassk-Far, Lesozavodsk, Bolshoi Kamen, Dalnegorsk, Dalnerechensk, Luchegorsk, Kavalerovo, Partizansk, border, Sibirtsevo, Chuguevke, Chernigovka, Mikhailovka and Emare. By the summer will be launched at popular vacation spots: Livadia, Slavyanka, Transformation and resorts Shmakovka.

In addition to expanding coverage, since the beginning of the year in Primorye was 4.5-fold increase in bandwidth data transmission. Also as a result of upgrading 3G networks Vladivostok became available to subscribers of data transmission at speeds up to 7.2 Mbps (depending on the user equipment and terrain).

To maintain high speed data transmission in the face of rising traffic volumes, simultaneously with the network being made to enhance the resources of transport networks and backbones. Capacity resources of the transport network since the beginning of the year has doubled.

Already missing the ability to network 3G «Beeline allows users to not only provide services to mobile broadband, but other high-tech services. Since the beginning of the year was launched service "video calls in 3G-network" Beeline "in the Amur Region and Kamchatka region. Previously, the opportunity to make video calls came from customers in the Maritime and Trans-Baikal territories, Magadan region, Buryatia and the Chukotka autonomous district within the 3G-network in their region.

During the year, planned to launch "videocall" and in other regions of the Far East and Eastern Siberia. This will contribute both to further develop a network of "third generation", and the growing number of potential consumers of services as a result of successful sales of affordable 3G-phone Beeline C100 with a video function.

As at 11 April 2011 63% of the region's inhabitants have access to the "third generation" from Beeline. Until the end of 2011 high-speed mobile data transmission will be available to 70% of subscribers throughout the Far East and Eastern Siberia.
