Operators of the "Big Three" are ready to provide communication in the track "Cupid" by October 1, 2011

Operators MTS, VimpelCom and MegaFon in the exit inter-ministerial meeting with the Deputy Minister of Communications Naum Marder confirmed the dates to ensure full coverage of mobile communications highway "Amur" (Chita - Khabarovsk) with the completion of works prior to October 1, 2011. The project operators will install 102 base stations. Total investment in the project will amount to not less than 4 billion rubles.

Retreat, held in Khabarovsk on 21 April 2011, was devoted to the implementation of the instructions of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on 30 August 2010 on the equipment line "Cupid" mobile phones. In accordance with the plan works, now MTS, MegaFon and VimpelCom have agreed on a technical solution of the future meet and network configuration, we decided to ensure that issues radio base stations. Leading telecom operators have confirmed plans for up to 1 October this year to provide 100% coverage of highway "Amur" mobile phones.

As part of the meeting, which, in addition signalers was attended by representatives of energy companies, road-building organizations, specialized agencies and regional authorities, the issues of land allocation for construction of communication facilities, supply of power to the base stations of the operators and agree on the construction of access roads objects of communication. Related departments and organizations expressed their willingness to accelerate approval of the necessary design documentation and provide the operators of production and other resources necessary to fulfill orders in time.
