Sony Ericsson devices with a modified bootloder not receive updates

When Sony Ericsson has announced that access to boot an operating system for some devices that will be opened, it caused a regular encouragement advanced users. But the company has confirmed the thesis of the presence of free cheese only in certain places. If the bootloader has been changed, the unit will no longer receive official updates from the manufacturer. The problem is that the update over the air requires a check for the appropriate software, which is performed by checking the firmware version your phone as a whole. If amended, validation fails and the update is not installed.

Moreover, the device with the unlocked boot loader will not be able to receive updates and through the standard means of downloading updates. Maybe in the future it will be corrected, but at the moment this function is also blocked. It is worth noting that Sony Ericsson plans mean the creation of a special ROM, which enables you to download updates, but changes to the software the phone after unlocking the bootloader still denies the device manufacturer's warranty, even after this, and established exclusively licensed software.
