MTS '3G network covers two thousand settlements in Belarus
Mobile TeleSystems, the largest cellular operator in Belarus, has announced that the third generation network MTS is available to residents of two thousand settlements of Belarus.
Since the beginning of May 2011, MTS has established additional equipment and launched a third generation network in the cities Khotimsk, Krasnopole, Ivantsevichy, Pruzhany, Verhnedvinsk, Deep, Glusk, Kirovsk, birch bark, Liozno, Dobrush, Love, Zelva, towns Komsomolets, permutation, Soft Brown, Krinichny, Nikolaevka and villages Babinovichi, Borovkov, Matzke, Velyamovichi, Kleyniki, Koverdyaki, Mukhavets, Chernavchitsy, Sosnovka. In addition, the operator has improved coverage and capacity of existing 3G networks in the cities of Vitebsk, and Grodno Kobrin.
Due to the active increase in the coverage area of 3G network today, broadband mobile Internet service from MTS can use for about 67% of the population. MTS launched its first network of "third generation" in Belarus in September 2010. At launch, the network covered the Minsk and the five regional centers of Belarus.
