Ukrainian mobile operator life:) has announced financial and operating results for the second quarter of 2011, where, as the company, operating margin life:) has continued to show positive dynamics.
In the second quarter recorded a statement, EBITDA of $ 23.7 million, which is 26.1% increase from the previous quarter and 16.7% increase over the same period last year. Accordingly, in the second quarter EBITDA margin rose by 4.1 points to 26.8% from 22.7% (second quarter of 2010) largely due to a combination of factors such as effective cost management, new approach to dealer commissions and sales network, thereby reducing the cost of sales and marketing.
In the second quarter 2011 revenue grew by 12.9% to 88.3 million in dollar terms compared with the previous quarter, at the same time, compared with last year's income has remained virtually the same level. Revenue rose to UAH equivalent to 13.3% as compared with the previous quarter and unchanged from last year.
During the quarter the number of active for three months, subscribers grew by 4.9% to 6.4 million, compared with the previous quarter, mainly due to regional operator campaigns aimed at attracting new subscribers. Compared with first quarter 2011 subscriber base of life:) has remained stable at 8.7 million subscribers.
Quarterly ARPU of active subscribers increased by 27.0% compared to last year, and by 9.3% compared with the previous quarter, largely due to the launch of new tariffs, as well as increasing traffic of international calls and increased revenue from roaming services.
Indicator MoU grew by 50.7% over the same period last year and by 8.6% compared with first quarter 2011 to 237.3 minutes.
