VimpelCom appointed Chief Commercial Officer of the Group
Telecommunications Company "VimpelCom Ltd.." Announce the appointment of Michael Gerchuk as Chief Commercial Officer of the Group "VimpelCom Ltd.." And his inclusion in the Board of the Company.
Prior to joining "VimpelCom" Mr. Gerchuk several years he served as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Commercial Director of OJSC "Mobile TeleSystems" ("MTS"), one of the leading telecommunication operators in Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and also served on the Board of Directors "Comstar", "MGTS", "MTS Ukraine" and certain of its subsidiaries of MTS. Michael Gerchuk will be directly subordinate to the President and Chief Operating Officer "VimpelCom" Khaled Bichara and officially assume his duties October 11, 2011.
As Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member of "VimpelCom" Michael Gerchuk lead and will develop a global business functions, and will be responsible for harmonizing and implementing the best commercial approach in all business units of the Company.
