"MegaFon" increases the storage capacity of mobile networks in the Stavropol region

Caucasus Branch of OJSC "MegaFon" reported on a project to increase the capacity of mobile networks and the Internet speeds up to 21.6 Mbit / second, switching the base station on its own fiber-optic lines.

As noted by the operator, to develop its own fiber-optic communications infrastructure - an important stage of an ambitious program of modernization of its network in the North Caucasus. More than 140 base stations "MegaFon" in the Stavropol region is switched to a fiber-optic communication lines (fiber optic) - is 25% of the total number of base stations in the region. The next phase of the project will be implemented in Nevinnomyssk, which on its own fiber optic will be transferred about 10 properties "MegaFon".
