MTS launches a new site in Moscow 4G LTE network in the standard FDD
The mobile operator MTS has announced the launch in Moscow in addition to the existing network of the first LTE TDD LTE network section in the standard FDD. As stated by the operator, the development of fourth-generation networks in the standard FDD will speed data services to its LTE network available for use not only with the modem, but with the leading manufacturers of smartphones. Until the end of 2014 in the Moscow region MTS plans to install more than 2,000 base stations, LTE FDD, which will provide high-quality coverage of the fourth-generation network in the capital region.
The new network will complement the existing network of the fourth generation MTS standard TDD, which operates in Moscow in September 2012 and already has more than 2,000 base stations.
The first part of the network LTE FDD, built in addition to the existing network LTE TDD, provides a fourth-generation business center "Moscow City". In the short term, MTS plans to deploy LTE FDD network in the Moscow business centers, airports, railway stations and on the territory visited shopping centers as well as on the major highways of the Moscow region. Over the next two years MTS intends to provide a network of LTE FDD whole of Moscow, 80% of the occupied territory within the Small Ring of Moscow, on the order of fifty largest cities, Moscow region.
