Nokia has released a preliminary financial report for the second quarter and summed up the first half of 2013. Lumia smartphone sales for the quarter increased by 32% to 7.4 million units. For comparison, in the previous year their sales were only 4 million pieces. But not everything is rosy as analysts had expected sales of 8.1 million smartphones in the quarter. As a result - falling stock price by more than 4% after the publication of the report. The second drawback is that the basic models, which are pushing up sales - low Lumia 520 and the mid-range Lumia 720. The result is a decrease in the average selling price of smartphones by 4% to € 151. And that's not counting sales of Symbian smartphones, which are even less weight. On an annual comparison of the decline in sales of smart phones is very significant. In 2012, during the same period have sold over 10 million units, but 6 million of them were Symbian-smartphones. Of them drop in smartphone sales was 39% from 22.1 million units to 13.5 million units, with a simultaneous increase in the average cost of 147 euros to 172 euros (+17%). On simple phones had 24% drop in sales - from 144.3 million units to 109.5 million, but the average cost decreased from 32 to 27 euros.
