"Rostelecom" takes part in the implementation of the system "ERA-GLONASS"

"Rostelecom" takes part in the implementation of emergency response in case of accidents, "ERA-GLONASS" in the regions of Russia. At the moment, work on the construction of infrastructure, "ERA-GLONASS" is already underway in 18 regions of the Russian Federation. As part of the state contract with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on the establishment of a system "ERA-GLONASS", until the end of 2013 NP "GLONASS" system will connect to the infrastructure remaining 62 regions of the Russian Federation. to select artists for the project, NP "GLONASS" held a contest in the form of a closed request proposals from the four operators. It is the rental of communication channels to create a data network, as well as lease sites for equipment produced by navigation and information center of the second level and the regional switching nodes of the system "ERA-GLONASS" in 62 regions of the Russian Federation. For successful implementation of the project, in particular, in order to minimize the risk of failure of the timing of delivery of works, tender committee NP "GLONASS" took the decision to separate a range of services and selected the four winners of the competition. Rental Services sites for the system hardware "ERA-GLONASS" will have "Rostelecom" and "Megaphone", rental of communication channels provide "Rostelecom", "megaphone", "VimpelCom" and MTS. Equipment "ERA-GLONASS" on the grounds of "Rostelecom" and "MegaFon" will be posted in August 2013.
