Version of Android 4.4 KitKat officially announced

Company Google, along with the smartphone Nexus 5, officially unveiled a new version of the operating system Android: 4.4 its number and name - KitKat. Platform Android 4.4 KitKat includes a number of innovations, in particular, it has a more modest system requirements and can run on devices with 512 MB of RAM. That is, the operating system can be installed on more mobile devices, including smart phones, even low cost. This, according to Google, will increase the number of Android users another billion.

 

Among other new features, such as a redesigned launcher, which provides faster access to the service Google Now, in particular, by voice command "Ok, Google". There have also been calls for improved application, mail, download and Google Hangouts. There is support for the IR interface and the "open" NFC-architecture that will work with any provider. Operating system Android 4.4 KitKat will be available as an upgrade for devices such as the Nexus 4, 7, 10, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One in the coming weeks.
