Volvo launches new cloud-based infotainment system for its connected car
At Consumer Electronics Show, CES 2014, Volvo released its latest innovation in collaboration with Ericsson.
The new cloud-based Sensus Connect connectivity system, based on Ericsson's Service Enablement Platform which will allow for remote upgrade of the software when new services are added. Martin Kristensson, Head of Content Acquisition at Volvo Car Corporation, and Emmett Long, Director Automotive Solutions at Ericsson, present how this system fundamentally will change the way car drivers commute and perceive their time in the car. The system for instance allow drivers to find and pay for parking from their car, access numerous digital radio stations, pre-heat or pre-cool their car remotely, and quickly access Wikipedia.
