Huawei announces new partnerships at Huawei eco-Connect Europe 2016
Huawei showcases strong partner ecosystem with new opportunities across the Western European enterprise market
Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solution provider, has announced a number of partnerships at Huawei eco-Connect Europe 2016. The new collaborations will support Huawei’s product portfolio to ensure customers across Europe become agile and flexible.
As part of a roundtable at the event, Huawei announced further expansion of its partnership with Commvault, a leading data protection and information management company. The new phase of the partnership involves Commvault’s cloud backup solution being certified on T-Systems’ Open Telekom Cloud.
The partnership was initially established three years ago, when Huawei agreed to distribute Commvault software. Huawei and Commvault also recently announced plans to setup a joint lab in Chengdu, China, that will be used to develop data backup, recovery, archive and cloud solutions based on both companies’ technologies.
Huawei also announced about a new partnership with system integrator SCC France. SCC France has also created a business unit dedicated to Huawei. This relationship will start with focus on IoT, network and security and cloud products for the public sector, education and healthcare.
To enable end-users to maximise the use of new ICT, Huawei seeks to develop and maintain a positive, long term, win-win relationship with its partners. Building a strong, credible ecosystem is vital to how successfully organisations can seize the opportunities made possible by new ICT. The ecosystem secures the functionality, availability and continuity of the solutions developed for our mutual customers.
As a result, since the start of Huawei’s partner program in Western Europe in 2011, Huawei has invested heavily in its partner ecosystem, attracting over 1,000 certified partners to-date in the enterprise market.
“In today’s connected world, enabling an ecosystem that allows customers to be more agile and flexible has never been more important.” commented Xiaoke Li, Vice president for Huawei Enterprise Western Europe. “These collaborations will help Huawei maintain a strong ecosystem to allow customers to seize new opportunities, and be adaptable for the demands of the future.”
“Once again we are very excited to extend our partnership with Huawei to provide even better services for our customers,” Rick Theiler, WW Vice President, Global Resell Partners & OEM’s at Commvault. “Huawei has allowed Commvault to expand its global footprint and maximise the value of our customers’ data management and storage investments. As we continue to move towards a digital future, this collaboration with Huawei will only strengthen our business.”
“In today’s digital era, there is a huge pressure on businesses to evolve to meet the demand of their customers,” said Didier Lejeune, General Manager at SCC France. “By working with Huawei, we will be able to enhance our Internet of Things (IoT), network and security and cloud solutions portfolio, helping our existing and future customers on their business transformation journey.”
