Samsung brings possibly swipe features to its fingerprint scanner

A patent application published today shows that Samsung thinks about the implementation of a finger scanner with swipe functionality. The logical question is, of course, whether we will encounter such a pinch in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus .

Google's new Pixel phones and - even more - Huawei already spent a fingerprint scanner where the use (st) can sweep over it to perform certain actions on the device. A patent application published today (in South Korea PDF shows that Samsung is considering a similar trick).
