The ultimate Windows Mobile gaming phone gets reviewed
It's not really called the ultimate WM gaming phone. I called this phone like that because that was the first thing that came to mind when I posted about it before. This phone is called the ZTC 1100. It comes with a 260k color QVGA 3 inch touchscreen, front VGA camera, back 2 mega pixel camera (with mirror for self portraits), 4 powerful speakers, supports 2 SIM cards (can be operated simultaneously) and the option of connecting a gamepad for games. Gophone reviewed the phone and here are their thoughts:
- the keypad is not comfortable to use, it's small and awkward
- the screen is of good quality
- the only signs of Windows is the startup/ shutdown screen, screensaver and "pocket pc/WM" printed on the phone
- come with boring wallpaper
- cool light effects on the sides of the phone
- NES (Nintendo) games bring back old memories
- answering the phone with the gamepad attached to the phone is weird
- UI of phone is awkward
There is also a clip below of the phone in action. This phone reminds me of Sony Ericsson's idea a few years back. The clamshell Z600 with the attachable gamepad. I wouldn't buy something like this. If I want to play games, I would just take my PSP along which can emulate NES games (along with other classic consoles). Someday these Chinese phones will probably be upgraded and be emulating SNES games.
