MultiVu Video Feed: The NFL and Motorola Unveil New Sideline Communication Equipment For the 2007 NFL Season and Beyond
New Motorola Headset Designs and Communication Center Part of Ongoing Initiative to Upgrade In-Game Communication throughout the League
This year's NFL pre-season games will feature two new design innovations from the NFL and Motorola to enhance sideline communication. The newly designed Coaches Headsets and sideline Communication Centers are part of an ongoing collaboration between the NFL and Motorola to upgrade in-game communication systems and capabilities.
The new headsets are lighter, thinner and more ergonomically advanced in comparison to their predecessors. There are three designs, as opposed to two previously, to provide coaches with more options based on their preferred ear cup configuration along with weather or crowd conditions. The design incorporates new materials to help increase comfort, stability and help reduce exterior noise.
Another innovation coming to NFL sidelines this season is the new Motorola Communication Center to replace the old "Phone Tables" that have been used for several decades. The new Centers will standardize the sideline communication throughout the league. For more information visit, http://www.motorola.com
