Samsung Selects Marvell Processor for Accelerated Processing and Superior Multimedia Capabilities
SANTA CLARA, Calif., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marvell, (Nasdaq: MRVL) announced that the Marvell (R) PXA310 application processor is at the heart of the recently announced premium Samsung i780 smart phone. The i780 also features Marvell's industry leading WLAN solutions with Marvell's 88W8686 WLAN chip. Marketed in major European countries, the amsung i780 has a sleek design packed with the latest in business and onsumer features including global positioning system (GPS) navigation, ast HSDPA and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, full touch screen with stylus, WERTY key pad, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional operating system,
2.0-megapixel camera and a front camera for video calls. The PXA310 rocessor also delivers full Internet browsing, MP3 music and FM radio.
