LG's Mind Reading Phone Now in India
LG Electronics today announced the India launch of its award-winning KF600 mobile phone that comes with an intuitive InteractPad -- among other features.
The trapezoid-shaped phone has a sleek look and a glossy finish, and is targeted mainly at youngsters. It boasts eight integrated graphic themes that LG claims are fun to use besides being capable of each acting as an extension of the handset owner's personality.
Arguably, the highlight of the handset is its intuitive InteractPad that replaces physical navigation keys with context-specific virtual keys that change to fit the task at hand. According to LG, the virtual keys show the user the exact keys that are required to complete the task at hand thus eliminating distractions. As such, the user doesn't have to memorize which key does what, thanks to the InteractPad and its virtual keys. Besides, LG claims the virtual keys are larger and better-spaced than physical keys thus improving accuracy.
According to LG, the InteractPad is also an ideal interface for controlling the KF600's powerful multimedia features including a 3 mega pixels camera and video camera, MP3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth, etc. With controls not tied down to physical buttons, each function ends up having a custom interface to make it very easy to use.
Speaking at the KF600 launch, Anil Arora, business group head (GSM) of LG Electronics India, said, "Usability is truly at the center of this handset's design, and it represents LG's latest achievement in making phones that connect with their users."
The LG KF600 is immediately available pan-India for Rs 14,990.
