Keypad maker Silitech to land more orders for metal handset cases in 2008
Handset keypad maker Silitech Technology recently revealed that its metal cases for handsets have been verified by a number of clients, and the company expects to land more orders for metal handset cases in 2008.
However, since the production of metal handset components is still in the early stages, revenues from metal handset cases and chassis will account for less than 1% of the company's total revenues in 2008, Silitech noted.
In addition to magnesium-aluminum alloy cases and components, Silitech will also develop handset components made of other metals such as stainless steel and zinc-alloy with various surface treatments, the company said.
