HTC Fuze competiting with iPhone and BlackBerry Bold in US market, says paper
AT&T's recent launch of HTC Fuze, the first HTC-branded smartphone sold through the US telecom services provider, will bring HTC to compete directly with Apple and RIM (Research in Motion) in the US smartphone market, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
As HTC Fuze (also called HTC HD in Europe and Asia), Apple's iPhone and RIM's BlackBerry Bold are all priced at US$299 under a two-year bundled contract offered by AT&T, the performance of HTC Fuze in the US in the fourth quarter will be a significant indicator of the Taiwan handset maker's competitive strength, the paper commented.
