a new generation of technology from Nortel

Nortel at Mobile World Congress show their solutions of fourth-generation (4G) mobile broadband (model all-IP), including new applications, carrier-class. At the exhibition in Barcelona, will be exhibited first in the world of video and LTE-next-generation technologies, as well as entirely new applications for VoIP network operators and a wide range of new services with rapid implementation and payback cycles.

At Mobile World Congress the company Nortel will work LTE-wireless network, through which its LTE-solutions will be demonstrated, in addition to Nortel, T-Mobile and LG Electronics. These demonstrations will assess the speed and functionality of LTE technology in terms of its use in areas such as video, streaming of HD video to mobile devices and support of interactive mobile applications (games in multiplayer mode, the video-link, etc.) .

Nortel aims to streamline the company structure of the operating costs of its customers (OPEX). Thus, carrier-class portfolio of products provides savings by reducing energy consumption and the impact of business on the environment. In the case of a portfolio of products for base stations of GSM saving energy reaches to 50%. The booth will be presented to Nortel working online calculators GSM, used to calculate the volume of saved energy. Thus you can clearly see how large will decrease the total cost of ownership in the transition to IP-networks.

Other Nortel technology at MWC:
Network self-Nortel (Self Organizing Network, SON), for reducing running costs through automated time and perform repetitive tasks for network management;
solutions for mobile feedback networks Metro Ethernet, which, by synchronizing with the requirements for NGMN-optimizing feedback provides an economical, service-dependent bandwidth for LTE-networks;
package kernel Evolved Packet Core with gateway access based on ATCA - the industry's first technology that supports LTE-tie architecture;
demonstrate LTE technology in conjunction with the companies T-Mobile, LG Electronics and Hitachi.
