Deserving special recognition, EcoMate is an educational application that shares tips and ideas about how to live a more environmentally friendly life in an entertaining format. The judges considered this to be a great tool to raise awareness about living a greener life and Sony Ericsson sees this application as a good step forward in encouraging consumers to be more environmentally responsible.

“The high standard of competition entries shows that the mobile content industry is alive with innovation and energy,” said Björn Ahlberg, Head of Sony Ericsson Content & Services. “We are thrilled to showcase the best in mobile content and applications from the third-party developer community and will continue to support the unique propositions and consumer experiences generated by the mobile content ecosystem.”

“The judging sessions underscored the quality of the content submitted,” said Jens Greve, Head of Developer Program at Sony Ericsson. “We were all impressed with the creativity of the content and the jury had a difficult job selecting the most intuitive, entertaining and useful submissions from a very strong field.”

Winning a prize that money can’t buy, the winners will be brought to Sony Ericsson’s development site in Lund, Sweden, for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes two-day visit where they will meet members of Sony Ericsson's senior management and discuss business with Sony Ericsson's content decision makers.
