Chunghwa Telecom to deal out lowest dividend in seven years

The board of directors of Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has approved the proposed distribution of a dividend per share of NT$3.83, all in cash, for the company's 2008 operation, according to CHT's filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange. This is CHT's lowest dividend per share since 2002, industry sources said, adding that CHT dealt out a dividend per share of NT$6.36, NT$4.26 in cash and NT$2.1 in stock, for 2007 operation.
