Motorola announced the financial results of its activities for the 1 st quarter of this year
The company Motorola announced today its financial results for the first quarter of this year. Despite the fact that the intervening period, the company finished with losses, but sales declined compared to last quarter, it still managed to reduce losses. Summary of the Company are as follows:
• Sales of the fourth quarter totaled $ 5.4 billion
• Net losses (on GAAP) 1 st quarter were $ 0.13 per share ($ 291 million in cash), including net charges $ 0.05 per share primarily related to the cost of reorganizing the business.

• The turnover unit Mobile Devices was $ 1.8 billion; shipped 14.7 million phones
• The turnover unit Home and Networks Mobility was $ 2 billion, operating profit was $ 115 million

Despite the negative first-quarter guidance Motorola hopes that the company will be plus for the second half of 2009.
