Taiwan market: FET developing customized Android-powered phones

Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) is developing customized Android-powered handsets with a Taiwan-based handset maker, with one of the two Google phones to be launched in the third quarter, according to the company.

FET's Google phones will run on Android OS 1.5, and support voice recognition, multimedia functionality as well as enhanced AGPS capabilities, FET said.
