Arima Communications see handset shipments up, but revenues down in May, says paper
Arima Communications saw its handset shipments increase 18% sequentially to 1.18 million in May, but revenues for the month showed an 8.6% sequential decline to NT$1.48 billion (US$45.4 million), according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
The revenue decline amid rising shipments indicated that the low-cost handsets accounted for the bulk of the company's May shipments, the paper noted.
For the first five months of this year, Arima revenues reached NT$6.86 billion, down a 0.5% from a year earlier, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
