GPS-77 million smartphones this year

Now virtually every modern smartphone has GPS-module. This trend is confirmed by analysts and company Strategy Analytics, which predict this year's growth of supply smartphones with GPS-module by 34%. Thus, in absolute terms in 2009 for manufacturers to ship 77 million such devices, which is 20 million more than last year.

The reason for this success rests on the surface - users prefer to buy the device functionality, and availability of GPS for many is a prerequisite.
