Small-size driver IC firms to enjoy sales growth through September
Driver IC design houses ILI Technology, Orise Technology and Sitronix Technology will likely manage on-month revenue growth throughout third-quarter 2009, as demand for small-size panels has been pushed up by seasonality, according to market watchers. The three IC designers are expected to report revenue increases of 20-30% sequentially in the third quarter.
Orise has reported June revenues of NT$445 million (US$13.5 million), up 10% on month, and saw a 88% sequential growth in the second quarter, beating its earlier expectations.
Sitronix's June revenues were NT$484 million, up 15% sequentially, while ILI is also expected to post an on-month growth in revenues thanks to increasing demand for handset-related products, according to market watchers.
