Telecom equipment maker MTI signs MOU with Alcatel-Lucent
Taiwan-based telecom equipment maker Microelectronics Technology (MTI) has signed an MOU with Alcatel-Lucent to cooperate on the production of outdoor RRH (remote radio head) products for 3G/WCDMA infrastructure with shipments to begin in the fourth quarter 2009, according to company president Allen Yen.
In addition, Alcatel-Lucent has also selected part of MTI's indoor RRH solutions, for which orders from Alcatel-Lucent are expected to start gaining momentum in 2010, Yen added.
MTI currently also produces base station RF modules, GSM receivers and power amplifiers for WCDMA/CDMA equipment for Alcatel-Lucent, according to the company.
