Thailand-based Cal-Comp reports strong sales for 2Q09
Cal-Comp Electronics, the Thailand-based EMS/ODM subsidiary of Taiwan's Kinpo Group, has reported consolidated revenues of NT$26.64 billion (US$814.68 million), net profits of NT$443 million, and an EPS of NT$0.12 for the second quarter of 2009.
For the first half of the year, consolidated revenues totaled NT$49.98 billion and net profits were NT$542 million which translated into an EPS of NT$0.13, the company said.
The company's operations are expected to remain on a growth track in the second half due to improvement in its product mix and client basis, according to market sources.
Notably, the company has landed handset orders from clients in North America with volume shipments to start in the second half, the sources noted. Cal-Comp previously focused mainly on the production of CDMA handsets for clients in India.
