The P&T/Wireless & Networks Comm China 2009 kicked off in Beijing today. Based on its theme "Dedicated to Customers' Success – Full Service Creates Value", Huawei put forward the "Three Transcends" business development concepts targeted at individuals, households, and industry markets – "Transcend the Voice to Develop Service", "Transcend the Pipeline to Extend Value" and "Transcend the Population to Increase Users" and displayed its innovations and applications in the field of All-IP converged networks.
To enable customers' success in future fierce competition of converged broadband services, Huawei proposed the idea of full service operation for the future. According to Huawei, individual telecom services will horizontally integrate the fields such as consumption, entertainment, finance, and service to form an open ecological environment centered on broadband experience. The value of the telecom industry will quickly shift to diversified platform-based data services. For the household market, the integration of concepts such as HD video and "On Demand" with Internet-enabled new media will significantly accelerate the development of household networks, and rapidly increase the network traffic. Operators are expected to attach importance to penetration and value extension into the markets at both ends of the pipeline, and try to grab initiatives in industry convergence through access control, open media distribution service platforms, flattened intelligent networks, and customized terminals. In the future when per-capita access is close to saturation, industry application is likely to become the next potential market for the "50 billion users". Operators should make use of the advantages of their large networks to integrate the capabilities of the industry chain, focus on the development of midware service platforms to provide common terminal modules, and join hands with vendors to reduce costs to accelerate the process of creating digital cities.
