•Kalevi joined Nokia in 1996, and has held various senior management level positions in the company in Europe and APAC
Kalevi Kostiainen will assume his new role on October 1, 2009. He brings over 13 years of Nokia Networks / Nokia Siemens Networks experience in Sales & Marketing and Business Operations, and has worked with multiple communications service providers across a wide range of IT and telecommunications technologies. In his new role, Kalevi leads Nokia Siemens Networks business in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and will be based in Sydney.
Prior to this, Kalevi was Head of Sales, Converged Core for APAC, Nokia Siemens Networks. He was instrumental in expanding Nokia Siemens Network’s business in Converged Core Networks solutions.
Commencing his career as a product manager for messaging platforms at Nokia Networks in Helsinki in 1996, Kalevi has held a wide variety of roles, spanning system marketing, account management, business operations, strategy and business development and general management.
Born in Helsinki, Kalevi holds a Master of Science in Technology from the Helsinki University of Technology. He is married with three young children.
