Paul Tyler Appointed Head of Sales, APAC, Nokia Siemens Networks

•Prior to this appointment Paul headed Nokia Siemens Networks business in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands
•Paul joined Nokia in 1997, and has held executive level positions in the company in ANZ, Europe and APAC
Paul assumed his new role on September 1, 2009. He brings over 16 years of international experience in the telecommunications industry, with a wealth of background in customer support, delivery and sales. In his new role as Head of Sales, Asia Pacific, he leads Nokia Siemens Networks sales activities throughout the region.
Prior to this appointment, Paul held the role of Head of Australia and New Zealand since the formation of the joint venture in April 2007. In this role he was instrumental in merging the ANZ businesses of Nokia Networks and Siemens Communications into a single entity from that position taking market share.
Commencing his career as a software testing engineer at Alcatel in Sydney, Paul has held a wide variety of roles spanning customer support, R&D, project management, sales, business development and general management. Joining Nokia Australia in 1997, he has since held numerous international executive roles across Australia, Europe and Asia. Paul’s new role will be based in Singapore.
Born in Sydney, Paul holds an Executive MBA from the National University of Ireland and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
