Taiwan 3G operator APBT plans for listing

Asia Pacific Broadband Telecom (APBT), the only 3G mobile telecom carrier adopting the CDMA2000 standard in Taiwan, is planning for listing in either the Taiwan Stock Exchange's main board or the over-the-counter (OTC) market following obtaining permission from the Financial Supervisory Commission in early September, according to the company.

With the number of subscribers rising to 2.13 million as of the end of August 2009, APBT recorded revenues of NT$11.75 billion (US$358 million), EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortization) of NT$2.576 billion, net profit of NT$606 million and earnings per share of NT$0.05 for January-August 2009.
