Taiwan market: FET ties up with Juniper to provider Internet security solutions
Taiwan-based carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) has teamed up Juniper Networks to provide Internet security solutions to Taiwan-based small-to-medium size enterprises. The security solutions will come bundled with FET's ADSL and other Internet-access services.
The FET-Juniper team aims to secure 1,000 business clients by the end of 2009 and eventually take up a 10% share of the local SME Internet security market in 2010, according to FET.
Taiwan's entire Internet security market, including services and equipment, is expected to top NT$16 billion (US$493.83 million) in 2009 and will expand to NT$18.3 billion in 2010, according to estimates by FET.
