Tatung InfoComm secures NT$2 billion syndicated loan for WiMAX network

Taiwan-based WiMAX operator Tatung InfoComm has secured a syndicated bank loan of NT$2 billion (US$61.73 million) which it will use to build up its WiMAX networks and improve its financial strength.

By the end of this year, Tatung will extend its WiMAX connectivity to include Kaohsiung, Hualien and Pintung counties in addition to the current coverage in Penghu county and Kaohsiung city, according to the company.
