Inventec Appliances lands CDMA and WCDMA handset orders from China-based carriers
Inventec Appliances has recently landed orders for its OKWAP-branded CDMA handsets from China Telecom as well as WCDMA handsets from China Unicom, according to the company.
Orders from China Telecom include CDMA EV-DO, CDMA x1 and CDMA/GSM models, totaling over 10 million yuan (US$1.46 million), said the company, noting the offerings include the high-end I760 supporting CDMA EV-DO and the CDMA/GSM dual-mode C370.
Meanwhile, the company will offer six WCDMA-enabled handsets to China Unicom, which include the sliding form factor I560, ultra-thin A501 and Hello Kitty-series A316.
