Platinum Wireless Partners With Toys for Tots
Toy Donation at Select Sprint Retail Stores Gets $25 Discount.
LOS ANGELES -- Platinum Wireless, a leading distributor and retailer for wireless products, is partnering with Toys for Tots this holiday season to collect toys for needy children in the community. For every unwrapped new toy worth $15 or more, Platinum Wireless will offer the giver a $25 certificate toward any new Sprint handset. Founded by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, the Toys for Tots goal is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
That message resonates with Jeff Javidzad, President of Platinum Wireless, who was born in Iran, moved to the United States at the age of 14 and became a U.S. Citizen in his early 20s. "Our Toys for Tots partnership is our way of giving back to the community that has supported Platinum Wireless for over a decade," says Javidzad. "We want to express our gratitude to our customers for their tremendous support by helping families during these difficult times." Platinum Wireless was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the top five fastest growing privately held companies last year, as well as one of the best places to work in Los Angeles.
Platinum Wireless, which owns and operates retail stores under the Sprint brand, is collecting Toys for Tots donations at their following Sprint retail locations: in Arizona at Flagstaff; in California at Chino, Hemet, Huntington Beach, four locations in Los Angeles, Oxnard, two locations in San Diego, San Dimas, Santa Maria, Tarzana, Tracy and Van Nuys; and in Colorado at Littleton.
The Toys for Tots program is underway and will continue through January 15th, which allows people to donate toys that their children may receive, but do not want. "With the economy hurting so many people," says Jim Radack, Senior Vice President of Sales, "we're hoping that everyone will join us in donating a toy and making the holidays a happy time for many less fortunate kids."
Platinum Wireless, with headquarters in Los Angeles, sells and nationally distributes products and services including Sprint Nextel, Boost Mobile, wholesale merchandise such as Sony, HTC, Motorola, RIM, Nokia, LG and Sony Ericsson, as well as wireless accessories. Platinum Wireless has 24 Sprint retail stores in California, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. For more information: www.platinumwireless.com.
