CES 2010: Lenovo launches Android-powered LePhone smartphone
Lenovo has launched its first Android-powered smartphone, the LePhone, at the ongoing CES 2010. The LePhone will target the China market initially before shipping to other markets, according to company chairman Yang Yuanqing.
The Qualcomm-based CDMA phone will meet consumers demand in the China market and Lenovo is optimistic about promoting the LePhone with telecom carriers, Yang said.
In addition to the LePhone, Lenovo also plans to strengthen its presence in the consumer electronics and SMB segments with more end-market products, Yang stressed.
