Taiwan market: Total handset sales top seven million units in 2009, says paper

Sales of handsets in the Taiwan market totaled 7.04 million units in 2009, with Nokia taking up the number one title with a 29.9% share, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) cited data compiled by the channels as indicating.

Total sales in value terms reached NT$25.1 billion (US$784.38 million) with the ASP (average selling price) standing at NT$3,565, the paper said.
