Huawei' s IPTime Solutions Successfully Participated in EANTC' s Mobile Backhaul Interoperability Test
Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced that its IPTime (IP Transport Infrastructure for Multi-play Experience) solutions successfully completed multi-vendor interoperability tests by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC) in Berlin.
A series of Huawei' s IPTime solutions, including routers, microware and optical access and transport products, switches and IP service quality monitoring system, participated in the EANTC testing, which assessed the interoperability of Ethernet implementation methods with a range of vendors.
In the packet and network-based clocking interoperability tests, Huawei' s unique IP microwave with MPLS, and broadband access products demonstrated high performance for mobile backhaul and FMC networks. In the MPLS-TP interoperability tests, Huawei' s IPTime solutions demonstrated their leadership in MPLS-TP standardization. The testing fully verified all performance features of Huawei's iManager U2520 (IP network assessment and optimization system)solution. Huawei' s IP+OTN synergy networking solution proved its ability to substantially increase resource utilization and optimize protection over the router layer and the optical transport layer.
Carsten Rossenhoevel, Managing Director of EANTC, stated "Huawei has actively participated in our Carrier Ethernet and MPLS multi-vendor interoperability tests for years. This time, Huawei contributed a wide array of IPTime solution products and successfully participated in many interoperability test areas. We look forward to extending the cooperation with Huawei even further in the future."
Zha Jun, president of Network, Huawei, stated, "The successful completion of interoperability tests, demonstrates the reliability and interoperability of Huawei' s IPTime solution, and Huawei will work with industry peers to promote the development of, and technology innovation in, the industry."
Huawei' s IPTime solution is designed for mobile transport and FMC networks, provides end-to-end service transmission both in mobile networks and broadband networks, and is suitable for future broadband and 2G/3G/LTE mobile service. IPTime provides fixed carriers with greater flexibility and cost-efficiency as they evolve their network to full-service network.
