RealPlayer SP for the Mac Makes it Easy to Move Video Onto Mobile Phones, iPods and Other Devices

RealPlayer SP beta for the Mac available for free beginning today.

SEATTLE -- RealNetworks® (Nasdaq: RNWK) released RealPlayer® SP Beta for Mac at www.real.com, a free software download that lets people easily take videos from their Mac onto their favorite devices like the Apple iPod, home entertainment and game systems, and mobile phones, and also share them with friends on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. By working with Safari and iTunes, RealPlayer SP for the Mac is the easiest way to download, convert and share online and personal videos, without having to worry about file formats, conversion sizes and other more technical details.

"RealPlayer SP is the simplest way to take your favorite videos with you on your phone, iPod or other portable device," said Jeff Chasen, vice president of Video Product Development at RealNetworks. "We are developing tools that make it easy for people to enjoy and share their favorite videos wherever and whenever they are."

RealPlayer SP for the Mac is the only complete package enabling you to download, transfer, and share video. New features within RealPlayer SP for Mac include the ability to:

* Transfer videos directly to nearly any device, including Android phones, Blackberry smartphones, a range of Nokia S60 devices, Palm Pre, iPhone, iPod, Xbox, and many others through automatic conversion and transfer to the correct device format, including H.264, 3GP, MP3, and AAC.
* Automatically convert and add your videos to iTunes so they can easily be transferred to your iPod or iPhone.
* Easily share your favorite videos to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

RealPlayer SP for PC has already been used to download over 100 million videos since its beta launch last year. RealPlayer SP for Mac is available as a free download from www.real.com.
