Mygazines makes its publications instantly iPad-ready - No extra costs, no apps

TORONTO - Digital publishing leader Mygazines launched its iPad Edition (http://www.mygazines.com/ipad), a browser-based mobile reading system for Apple's newest device. "With just a PDF, publishers are now ready to distribute their digital magazines, books and any other print content on the iPad. No downloads or other software needed," said Mygazines CEO Yoav Schwartz. "Our goal was to eliminate any additional investment by our clients, so they could immediately embrace this technology milestone."

The iPad Edition is part of Mygazines Mobile, a universal e-reading system that works on almost any touch-screened gadget, including the iPhone, iPod Touch and Android phones (Motorola Droid/Milestone). Readers enter the same publication URL (e.g. http://www.mygazines.com/issue/8422) and Mygazines' system automatically recognizes and displays a unique interface for that device.

"It's a special experience for the iPad so publishers can take advantage of its larger screen and multimedia capabilities. The iPad promises to become a leader in the digital content market. That's why we created a unique interface, one that Mygazines can continue to develop into the future."

Thousands of Mygazines publications (http://www.mygazines.net) are now iPad-ready. Features include page flipping, article lists, social bookmarking, e-mail sharing, page thumbnails, zoom and links. Publishers can also customize options and colors to create a unique branded environment. Watch the iPad demo video: http://bit.ly/ipaded.

This is Mygazines' second major release in a month. The Canadian-based company recently launched Flipbook 3.0, a vector-based e-reader for PC, Mac, netbooks, laptops and any other Flash-enabled devices.
