Motorola Introduces CS3000 Series for Batch and Bluetooth Mobile Scanning
Compact, two-button scanner is intuitive and reliable for mobile task workers.
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – The Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) division of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) introduced its CS3000 series of portable 1D laser scanning devices for task workers who need basic bar code scanning capabilities for mobile applications. Motorola’s newest advanced data capture solution enables mobile workers to achieve new levels of productivity with a portable (batch or Bluetooth®), cost-effective and size-optimized 1D scanner that places scanning power in the palm of the hand.
The CS3000 series allows mobile workforces in retail, supply chain, facilities management and direct store delivery (DSD) to overcome productivity challenges with superior scanning performance in an easy to use, ergonomic and intuitive device. For example, custodial staff can scan bar codes on entry doors and other locations to document the accurate completion of activities, while manufacturers and distributors can provide customers with a CS3000 to scan inventory as it is used to automate order processing at the point of consumption.
“In an era where mobility is critical for success, Motorola continues to expand its scanning portfolio to meet the diverse needs of customers across multiple industries,” said Al Quinn, vice president and general manager of advanced data capture, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions. ”The new CS3000 series represents a new category of devices for mobile workers who need access to scanning technology anywhere, anytime – bringing new levels of portability and productivity to mobile scanning.”
Available in two models, batch or Bluetooth®, the CS3000 series is affordably priced and fits in a pocket or on a lanyard for convenient access and portability. The CS3000 can be utilized in standalone mode for the batch scanning of bar codes, while the CS3070 offers both batch and real-time data transmission to a host application via a wireless Bluetooth connection to smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices. In addition, the CS3000 series provides a simple and easy to use two-button interface that requires little to no training for end users to get started – ultimately reducing total cost of ownership and improving operational efficiencies.
Additional features include:
· Highly intuitive two-button interface for easy scanning
· Ergonomic design for the most scan-intensive tasks
· Large memory capacity, which allows workers to capture more than one million bar codes
· Durable design, including IP40 sealing and the ability to withstand drops and tumbles
· Long battery life, which ensures more than a single shift of scanning performance per charge
To help keep the CS3000 series scanners running at peak performance, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Services recommends Service from the Start Advance Exchange Support. This exceptional service minimizes downtime with next-business-day replacement of devices that require repair. The CS3000 series will also be protected from the unexpected with built-in comprehensive coverage, which goes beyond normal wear and tear to cover internal and external components damaged through accidental breakage. Unforeseen repair expenses are significantly reduced, providing service peace of mind from the date of purchase.
The CS3000 series is available now through Motorola and Motorola PartnerEmpower partners.
