Galaxy S Does MicroUSB to HDMI
When the Samsung Galaxy S hit the market earlier this year, no one expected it’d be able to do video-out from a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. But, complaints about the aspect resolution given by 3.5 mm to Component cords will now be silenced as it is uncovered that at least the American variants of the Galaxy S are able to do high definition output via a new cord from Samsung that converts Micro USB to HDMI. The adapter is an unprecedented work of engineering as many said it would not be possible to convert USB 2.0 cables to high definition output.
The Micro USB to HDMI adapter is currently unavailable from Samsung or any other distributor, but it will come into stock soon for a fairly low price of $50. With the adapter, users will be able to go to: Settings >Sound and Display > TV Out – to enable the feature.
